Applications still open for spring advertising team

The National Student Advertising Competition team is seeking applicants for the spring team.

NSAC is the premier student competition with over 150 schools participating. Schools develop a complete marketing plan from an actual case study for a national brand and present their plan at the district competition in Dallas.

If successful, students advance to nationals at the American Advertising Federation's convention in Las Vegas.

This year's client is Pizza Hut. We are seeking applicants for account planners/interactive strategists, research, graphic/interactive designers, copywriters, cinematographers and media.

NSAC is a capstone course and can be substituted for the ad campaigns course.

Center for the Creation of Economic Wealth seeks applicants
The Center for the Creation of Economic Wealth is accepting applications for their team through the end of this month. Applications must be turned in by Friday, October 31 at noon to be considered.

Impact: CCEW projects solve real-world problems and have the potential to change industries, economies, and people's lives. Changing how water is delivered in rural Kenya has been Team Water4's high-impact Social Entrepreneurship project this semester.

Challenge: Projects that engage the brightest minds on campus for a full semester have unique aspects which provide an intriguing challenge. Team Rare Earths has been navigating a restricted industry with both market and geopolitical pressures this semester in CCEW's Technology Commercialization track.

Entrepreneurial Need: CCEW's Oklahoma Funding Accelerator works with local entrepreneurs who need hands-on assistance to make their business dreams a reality. This semester's Consulting Associates are learning about remittance markets in Africa, health care IT solutions, and custom home building while simultaneously helping entrepreneurs achieve their goals.

Innovation: CCEW teams think big and take ownership of their projects, putting their research, problem-solving, and creativity into a deliverable they know inside and out and can really be proud of. This semester's Agile Product Design team dreamed up 15 product ideas, then used research and industry interviews to build a unique prototype for a robotic surgery cleaning tool.

If this sounds like the kind of experience you're looking for, apply here.

Apply at www.ccew.ou.edu.  Applications consist of a 500-word essay, one letter of recommendation, an OU transcript and resume and are due Friday, October 31st, at noon. No incomplete or late applications will be accepted.

Appointments and questions can be directed to ccew@ou.edu.
