All workshops will be held in Gaylord and are free of charge.

If you have questions, please call Career Services at 325-1974. 

Get your resume critiqued at Career Services and uploaded to HIREsooner. Activate your HIREsooner page and upload a resume to be included in the OU Online Resume Books for employers to view prior to the career fair.  

Dress professionally Bring copies of your resume to distribute Bring your student ID to check-in Freshmen and Sophomores encouraged to attend!

Students have less than a month to prepare applications for the BEA 2015/2016 academic scholarships. 

BEA is awarding a total of $34,500 - to honor broadcasters and the electronic media profession.

New for 2015, all applicants will automatically be considered for the recently announced  Nielsen Media Scholarships.

The Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art invites applications from OU students and recent graduates interested in participating in a museum internship. Internships are available in various departments including: Curatorial, Education, Public Relations, Preparation and Registration.

The Borgen Project

This is a part-time 14-hours per week telecommuting internship. 

 

The internship is 4-months and responsible for leading public and political outreach in the state and district assigned to.

 

Must be available Mondays 4:30-6:00 PM PST for The Borgen Project's national conference call.

 

- Meet with members of Congress and/or Congressional staffers in your State and District.
- Represent The Borgen Project at various business, political and community events.
- Assist with fundraising. Create a personal fundraising campaign and meet targets.
- Mobilize individuals to contact their members of Congress in support of key poverty-reduction legislation.
- As needed, speak to groups, classes and organizations.
- Write letters of support for key programs to political leaders, media and other groups.

 

Qualifications:

- Outstanding writing skills.
- Self-starter who can produce great results with limited supervision.
- Strong oral communication skills and ability to lead meetings and give speeches.

The Medicine Talk Internship Program offers students a unique blend of hands-on professional training and professional readiness coaching for college credit.

Under the guidance of an intern coach, interns work on real-world projects within their designated field. These projects will challenge the intern's classroom knowledge, foster creativity and encourage the development of advanced, quick problem solving skills.

In addition, Medicine Talk interns participate in one-on-one and group coaching sessions that teach professional skills rarely covered in a classroom setting. Coaching sessions and topics are developed according to each student's unique interests and goals, however some popular topics are the importance of organic networking, confidence boosting for networking, professional etiquette, navigating office landscapes and coaching for entrepreneurial endeavors.

The Star Tribune typically receives more than 300 applications for 10-12 internship positions

The Tribune has particularly expressed interest in students who have worked at The Oklahoma Daily or another student publication and who have completed at least one internship at another professional newspaper.

The internship lasts 10 weeks in the summer and pays $706 a week.
