Focus On: Career Shift 
A FREE JOB SEARCH AND APPLICATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM BROUGHT TO STUDENTS BY CAREER SERVICES

Job listings, resume and interview tips and free subscriptions to career help websites are just some of the things Career Services has to offer online. But a website choc full of great information can be easy to get lost in. That's why Gaylord's career and internship newsletter is going to take a look at some of the bells and whistles available to you with your HireSooner account.
This issue, we investigate CareerShift, which, according to its listing on Career Services, can " search, select and store job listings from all job boards and all company job postings." The website does require registration, but that registration is free, thanks to Career Services. As it turns out, CareerShift contains exactly what it boasts, a whole lot of job listings. To test the extent of the listings it contains, I searched for the most elusive of online job listings: the freelance job.

Having the option to create, name and organize job applications and documents in folders is a highly useful feature.

CareerShift popped up with over 250 results for freelance work and gave the options to apply, share the listing or save the job listing for later. Users also have the option to save companies and contacts, create resumes and cover letters and to create campaigns to introduce themselves to potential employers.
The site also offers users the option to link their LinkedIn accounts to CareerShift. Doing this allows job seekers to add the people they've networked with on LinkedIn to their CareerShift account as contacts and allows users to apply to a job listing via LinkedIn.
Overall, this is one website that could do a lot of good for anyone's next job search and, with free registration for OU students, shouldn't be passed up.
