Food will be from Rudy's BBQ. Ad Club members who had summer internships will tell where they were, what they did in their internships and their opinion on the value of their internship.
This is a sign-up meeting for all students who want to join. You can fill out an application there or get one from Professor Tarpenning, Ad Club adviser, prior to the meeting. Also bring a check for $45 for Ad Club and AAF dues. OU Ad Club is a member of the American Advertising Federation.
The OU Ad Club trip to New York City is October 16 through 20, and a visit to San Francisco will be in March.

PRSSA will be holding an informational meeting about a new opportunity for PR majors called Mindfire.
Mindfire is Ketchum's award-winning crowd sourcing platform for college students. Ketchum works with students from over 50 universities around the world, and give marketing/PR students the opportunity to respond to real client challenges. For participating, Ketchum will award cash prizes for winning ideas, and students get exposure to Ketchum's top brass, which in the past has resulted in jobs/internships or mentorship opportunities.

International Advertising Information Session

Gain an international perspective and understanding for how advertising works outside of the U.S. The Gaylord College has offered a course in international advertising in 10 out of the past 11 years. We will likely offer the class again this year. The course will be led by Professor Jim Avery.
Overview: This class is intended to give advertising, public relations, design and marketing students a view of how professional communication works internationally.
Location: Part of the study will be at the University of Oklahoma. The remainder will take place in either Asia or Europe:
- Asia: Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Macau, and Hong Kong
- Europe: Budapest, Frankfurt, and London.
The class will visit advertising agencies, public relations firms and potentially some marketing firms in the region of choice. There will be time for students to visit some sites of their choice.
