Information Session
7:30 a.m., Tues, Sept 17, 2013

Room 2025, Gaylord Hall

Gain an international perspective and understanding for how advertising works outside of the U.S. The Gaylord College has offered a course in international advertising in 10 out of the past 11
years. We will likely offer the class again this year. The course will be led by Professor Jim Avery.

Overview:    This class is intended to give advertising, public relations, design and marketing students a view of how professional communication works internationally.

Location:    Part of the study will be at the University of Oklahoma.  The remainder will take place in either Asia or Europe:

  • Asia:  Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Macau, and Hong Kong
  • Europe:  Budapest, Frankfurt, and London.

The class will visit advertising agencies, public relations firms and potentially some marketing firms in the region of choice.  There will be time for students to visit some sites of their choice.

If you are interested, contact Professor Avery at javery@ou.edu
