Independence Day Celebration June 30
Thurs., June 30 at 6 pm, St. Margaret's, Little Rock St. Margaret's will host the annual celebration of Independence Day with a festive Holy Eucharist. The guest homilist is Sophia Said, the Program Director for the Interfaith Center of St. Margaret's. Following the service, the Men's Group will serve hot dogs and hamburgers outside. There will be games and fun activities for all to enjoy. There will also be a parade, so decorate your bikes, wagons, golf carts, etc., and bring them out for the occasion! Seating will be limited for the picnic, so please bring lawn chairs.

Wednesday Noon Eucharist
There will be no noon Eucharist on Wednesdays during Fr. Carey's sabbatical, from June 8th to Aug. 24th. Noon Eucharist will begin again on August 31st.

Staying connected to St. Luke's during the summer
Get Church "to go" box. Take a picture of you with the picture of Jesus in the box where you go and send back to joannaseibert@me.com for us to put on Facebook. Bring to Joanna your bulletins where you attend church and we will put up on a bulletin board and talk about them in the Evangelist.

Breakfast at St. Luke's!!
We will have breakfast in the Parish Hall every Sunday from 9 to 9:30. Everyone is invited.

SAVE THE DATE FOR THE BISHOP'S VISIT
Be sure to mark your calendars for Bishop Benfield's visit and Confirmation Sunday on July 24th. We will have a potluck lunch following the 10:30 service. A sign up sheet will be available in the Narthex on July 10th.

Summer Musical Theatre at the Cathedral
Trinity Episcopal Cathedral is excited to announce a summer Musical Theatre Outreach July 5 - 8 for children who have completed grades 3 through 7. The Music department will prepare and present Disney's "101 Dalmatians Kids" during the week (10a.m. - 3 p.m.) at a day-camp with multiple performances on Saturday. The cast will be limited to 30 children and application information is below. There will be no cost for the day-camp and lunch will be provided. Tickets for the July 8 performance at 6:00 p.m. will be free for children and students, $10 for adults.

Pocket Change for Building and Grounds Projects
Do you have change in your pockets or change purse? Do you think it is only a small amount and doesn't matter? Just image, if everyone donates and combines this pocket change, the total will continue to grow and needed projects will be funded and completed. A designated glass water bottle will be placed in the Narthex, remember, no amount of change is too small. Thank you from the Building and Grounds Committee.

Outreach
FAMILY PROMISE-Our neighbor church, Park Hill Christian Church, will be partnering with St. Luke's in our Family Promise ministry. The first week that we will be serving families their evening meal will be the week of July 10. Nancy Crow is coordinating the meals and soon will be contacting those that signed up to help. Contact Nancy if you need more information on the meals we will be preparing and serving. IF YOU WISH to donate to this ministry, you can make your check out to St. Luke's with "FAMILY PROMISE" in the memo line, and place it in the offering plate or leave it at the office. HOMELESS SHELTER donations-may be left in the BLUE BARREL in the narthex. River City Ministries (North Little Rock), St. Francis House, Jericho Way and Dorcas House especially need BOTTLED WATER during these summer months. These shelters always need DETERGENT, PAPER PRODUCTS, BEANIE WEENIES, individually packaged snack crackers and toiletries. Your donations are taken each month on the last Tuesday of the month by your St. Luke's "Delivery Team." For more information, contact: Betty Seymour, Tommie Williams, Sheryl Stewart and Don Woods.
