Wonderful new summer collection of jewelry from Veronica Riley-Martens has arrived! Veronica creates pendants, necklaces (many adjustable in length), bracelets, & earrings using Tagua nuts. The Tagua nuts are eco-friendly, organic nuts that come from palm trees only found in the rainforest, making them a valuable, renewable source which encourages the preservation of the forest. The nuts are dried, sliced/cut into various shapes and dyed. Veronica combines different textures, colors, shapes and sizes to create unique, mosaic, one-of-a-kind creations that are fun to wear!
let art be part of your nature

Michael Sorge

Mike Sorge
Mike Sorge sculpts & turns original designs & traditional shapes from fallen trees. Allowing the woods' colors, grains & textures to emerge from the rescued branches, Mike's classic bowl forms make for wonderful gifts that are sure to become family favorites.
"I enjoy rescuing, revealing, and preserving the incredibly diverse inherent natural beauty of the fallen tree through the art of high speed wood sculpting, creating elegant signature sculptures for art and utilitarian use; heirlooms for generations of enjoyment."
created with nature

Sandy James

Sandy James

Sandy James begins her creative process by pulling leaves from her own garden or using twigs, nuts, leaves or seeds she picks up when hiking. Each of these little found treasures are then carefully dipped (electroplated) in copper and finished with Sandy's lush, green patina or the rich bronze finish, creating her truly nature-inspired earrings, pendants, pins & barrettes.

The gallery (and a good part of our front yard) has been taken over by all of these wild & wonderful creatures from Rich Kolb! Each one is made from upcycled & recycled metals in his Louisville, Kentucky studio, conveniently located near a scrap yard. From wine bottle holders to hanging sculptures, hanging plant holders, flower pot stands, salt & pepper sets and mini critters, they are sure to bring a smile to your face! Find your favorite little beasts - cats, dogs, frogs, dinosaurs, horses, giraffes, birds, bats, sharks and more...

using earthen clay to create beauty & function

Amy Elswick

Amy Elswick
Amy Elswick

Amy Elswick creates earthy & refined functional & decorative clay works ~ cooking & serving pieces, mugs (called coffee logs with their bark-like finish), candle-holders, goblets, gondola vessels, and more...

"I am intrigued by textures and use a variety of tools to achieve a unique finish. My inspiration comes from manipulating the clay. I find a great deal of satisfaction in being able to carve or scratch into leather hard clay, completely changing the energy of a pot. My glaze palette evolves with time; there are standard favorites, but also many days of testing new mixtures in the studio. All glazes used on food service pieces are safe for your culinary creations and also fine for the microwave and dishwasher, although hand washing is best."

re-purposing the old into new

Rena Hopkins

Rena Hopkins delivered a fresh new batch of her up-cycled, found object and Steampunk-inspired jewelry ~ pendants, necklaces, earrings & cufflinks that are both modern & old world. Find many sea-faring designs, along with starry skies, cats, butterflies, ladies of the circus, and a series of black & white dog portratis.

"My background in the arts is varied, from burlesque to fine art, and this mix of high and low brow is a recurrent theme throughout my work.  Expect a strong sense of traditional design combined with unusual materials and wicked humor."

capturing nature as it blooms

Susan Mahan

Susan Mahan
In viewing any of the blooming floral still-lifes, landscapes, or garden scenes, it is easy to see that Susan Mahan is inspired by her love of color and pattern. "Photos and random bits of found paper enhance my work in unexpected ways. The closer you get to one of my mixed media paintings, the more detail you see. The use of paint ranges from loose washes and glazes to very detailed brush work. Paint is applied both over and under the paper. The floral paintings I create remind me of women I have known. Some are weathered perennials who appear in my life year after year. Some are flashy annuals who visit to add color and a little spice. The paintings are made of many layers, like these women. Some are bold, some are more subtle; you don't see their beauty until you get to know them."
