Cecilia Nartker

As the daughter & wife of artists it was just a matter of time before Cecilia Nartker started making her own mark in the ceramic world. Her tiles are exquisitely made~ cut-outs of birds, butterflies, fish, and other fun motifs play across a slab of clay. After bisque firing, these beautiful collages are enhanced with high-luster glazes and accented with gold.

~ sikiu perez ~bozrah, ct

Sikiu Perez

Born and raised in Barquisimeto, Venezuela, Sikiu Perez grew up in an area considered the cradle of arts & crafts; a region full of natural clay deposits. She has used this terracotta clay to build sculptures since she was three-years-old! After graduating college, she was commissioned to create murals through her hometown, most notably a 52ft. monument for the Resort Islas del Sol in Chichirivichi. Sikiu continued making sculptures & tiles from terracotta once she moved to the states and loves to feature birds, for the color of the forms and the symbolism associated with these winged creatures.

~emily ulm ~kent, ohio

Emily Ulm

Drawing on her experience as a sculptor and her love of nature, Emily Ulm creates wonderful monochromatic, nature-inspired tiles. Whether a series of birds chit-chatting on tree branches or a tiny, individual tile of a mayfly; Emily's designs capture the simple essence of familiar plants and animals. Her work is durable enough for permanent installation and lovely enough to mount singularly on a wall, either way they are an enduring way to bring the outdoors into your indoor life.

Leslie Sweet Goshorn

Leslie Sweet Goshorn creates elegant, nature-inspired ceramic serving pieces and tiles using porcelain and natural materials found in her own backyard (which has recently changed from Cincinnati to Charleston - we sure miss her!). She carves and presses gingko leaves, cherry blossoms, bamboo, and ferns into the wet clay to make a highly textural surface that allows the soft glazes to ebb & flow.
