Mrs Douglass asks that every MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY children bring their recorders and all the items in the recorder bag with them!  If they are ready to test out for their "belts" they need the recorder with them on Friday too!!!

Faith Studies

We will review Unit 7 and take the test then launch Unit 8 which is more about the TEN COMMANDMENTS.

Language Arts

 

Spelling: summer, winter, little, October, travel, color, apple, able, November, ever, later, purple, flower, people, thermometer, and mumble  Challenge Words:  tamales, slasa, enchiladas, tortillas, Spanish, tacos.

 

Reading: We will launch Theme 6 SMART SOLUTIONS with the story Pepita Talks Twice while noting problems, solutions, and how those solutions play out in realistic fiction.

 

Writing:  Students will write a variety of poems this week. 

 

MATH  

We will work on multiplication and division with place value.

   

Social Studies:  We will finish our study of the MIDWEST Region of the U.S.A.  The Bread Basket and the Great Lakes are both part of this region.  

 

Divider
Students need five snacks this week. Just a reminder, they are to be healthy nutritious snacks.  Students need to have snow gear with them as we will be outdoors almost every day.
