Learn from a pro!  Local grower/herbalist Donna Eaton will show us the ins and outs of canning our own delicious, all-natural Applesauce made from locally grown apples.  Learn recipes, canning instructions, and tidbits on saving money by preserving locally grown foods.  Take home a jar!

March One-Day Farm Conference - with NEW PUBLIC TRACK

SEMAP's annual One-Day Farm Conference has traditionally been a day filled with ideas, resources and next steps for farmers throughout Southeastern Mass.  For 2011, we'd like to extend this invitation to the public, and incorporate more classes, workshops and resources for home gardeners, and folks interested in learning more about small scale sustainable agriculture.

SEMAP in collaboration with The Rotch-Jones-Duff House and local organic landscaper and gardener, Jessica Duphily Cook to offer a 'New Beginnings' talk on how to design and prepare your garden for springtime planting.  Learn more about the positive benefits of growing and enjoying your own vegetables, fruit and herbs.  Program content will provide an overview of organic gardening techniques and tried-and-true methods to guide you in creating a healthy landscape and beautiful garden environment.  Don't miss this opportunity to begin your garden planning and kick-start the growing season!
