SEMAP Buy Local Update #12
Hey Everyone!

Happy Halloween!

It's spooky to think where your winter meals have traveled from!  Until recently, its been really tough to source fresh locally grown food through the fall and winter months.  Unless you grew your own or had some great farmer friends, you might be stuck with bland meats, foreign fruits, and tasteless vegetables.

Fortunately as the public grows more informed about the benefits of buying local (high nutrient content, great quality, fantastic taste, boost to local economies, etc., etc.) we are experiencing the public demand necessary to sustain winter markets and extended CSA shares.  Woohooo!

Keep reading to get a glimpse of the wide variety of local foods and products available now, and  throughout the winter months.  We will be updating this list all winter long, so check back soon!

Special thanks to our 2009 Corporate Sponsors!
