SEMAP Buy Local Update #3
Hey Everyone!
          Early Season Delights

This weekend, while you're celebrating Mother's Day, be sure to check out the many farmstands and nurseries to pick out that perfect bouquet.  Beyond flowers and herbs, Southeastern MA is producing fine vegetables like Asparagus, Rhubarb and Salad Greens picked fresh from the fields, among the many amazing specialty products produced locally.

Or, there are plenty of items to help make your Mother's Day gift baskets shine with local!  Try some fresh herbs, mixed with local cheeses, local sparkling wine, and some local sweets!  The combinations are endless with all the  great produce/products made or grown locally that you can add.

No excuses now!  While the weather is beautiful, before the next rainfall, be sure to hop outside and enjoy the work of 'Mother' Nature.  The Spring is filled with Buying Local opportunities, including festivals, special local dinners, farmstand openings, gardening classes, and much more.  Keep reading on to find out where and how you can celebrate Spring in all her green glory!

Special thanks to our 2009 Corporate Sponsors!
