UMT Celebrates The Holiday 
The Caley Elementary School Choir kicked off the annual Holiday Hoopla at the Upper Merion Township Building Friday, December 4 at 6:30 PM.  UMGA-TV crew is capturing all the  festivities! Stay tuned.

The Upper Merion Police Association presented a $1500 check to Upper Merion Emergency Aid. Representative Barbara McElvougue accepted the check on behalf of the organization.

Upper Merion Township is serving as a donation site for Feel The Warmth's Children's Coat and/or Holiday Toy Drive again. Boxes are located in the lobby of the Township Building. Thank you for your donation.
 
MLK Committee  
Please help plan Upper Merion Township's 28th Annual Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The national holiday committee meeting starts at 6:45 PM and usually last about an hour. Next meeting:  December 10, Henderson Room.

Society members and friends are invited to join Christ Church Old Swedes as they celebrate the Feast of St. Lucia on Sunday December 13, at 7:00 PM. The event is FREE and open to the public.

Check us out on December 5 and December 19!  Here's how it works: there's a select group of vendors that you can pre-order from that are set up on the lower level of the parking lot behind the Township Building, every other Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. You can pick up your orders. Most vendors bring a little extra to tempt you.

Holiday Hoopla Success!
On Friday, December 4, 2015, residents and staff helped kick off the holiday season at the much anticipated annual Holiday Hoopla.  The Parks and Recreation Department rocks!  Thank you ALL for attending.  We'll miss you SO much Emily DeVuono!
 
Silver Sneakers
Upper Merion needs your nomination to help bring Silver Sneakers to the NEW Community Center.
  
Camp-Sports Spectacular
Have fun by signing up for Winter Break Camp-Sports Spectacular, a one day program, where you will play a variety of sports and games. Where? Gulph Gym. When? Wednesday, December 23 from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM  The cost is $50 for a resident and $60 for a non-resident.
  
Big Apple Bound
Upper Merion Parks and Rec still has seats available for the December 12 NYC trip! The bus leaves in the comfort of a coach bus from Upper Merion at 9:00 AM and returns at 6:00 PM. The cost is $42 for residents and $52 dollars for non-residents.

ADMINISTRATION
Star Power
The township is presented with the 2015 Star Award, from GVF and its non-profit arm, Communities in Motion. The application was submitted for the completion of the Schuylkill River West Trail. 
 
Making The Connection
Residents can now take advantage of an extra 2.2 miles of trail. The Schuylkill River West Trail project has been in the works since a 2007 feasibility study.
