Thanksgiving Day - Give Back
A number of local organizations offering assistance to those in need are seeking people who are able to volunteer their time or resources. Feel The Warmth
Upper Merion Township is serving as a donation site for Feel The Warmth's Children's Coat and/or Holiday Toy Drive again. As of Wednesday November 25, boxes will be located in the lobby of the Township Building. Thank you for your donation.

MLK Committee
Please help plan Upper Merion Township's 28th Annual Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The national holiday committee meetings start at 6:45 PM and usually last about an hour. Next meeting: December 10, Henderson Room.
Scouting For Food
Local Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts are holding their annual "Scouting for Food Drive," which is also part of the National Good Turn Service Project. On Saturday, November 21, Cub Scouts from packs 481 and 551 will collect the generous donation of food from the good people of our community.

Holiday Wreath Sale
KOP Boy Scout Troop 551 will set up in front of Angelo's Pizza (on Beidler Road) Friday, November 27 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM; and on Saturday, November 28 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Or, stop by the Upper Merion Baptist Church on Valley Forge Rd. any Tuesday night between 7:30 PM to 9:00PM until December 8. Wreaths will also be sold at the Upper Merion Football game (at the Middle School Field) on Thanksgiving morning. Cost: $18

A few farmers and other vendors will setup in the lower parking lot, every other Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The email newsletter will have information on pre-ordering from each vendor. In Memory Of.....
Public Works Department writes: It is with sincere sadness we announce that on Sunday, November 15, Charles "Pete" Smyrk passed away. Mr. Smyrk was a long-time resident, former Secretary of the Municipal Utility Authority, Lafayette Ambulance member/paramedic, and served on the Board of Directors as a former Vice President and Treasurer of the squad. Our condolences are extended to the family.

No injuries are reported in a fire at the Valley Forge Towers South Building on Thursday, November 19 at 1:48 PM. The exact cause of the fire is unknown.

The King of Prussia Fire Company is having a Holiday/Craft Vendor Fair on November 21, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. All proceeds benefit the firehouse.

BCA Is Back!
The Board of Community Assistance (BCA) Grant Program was established by the Board of Supervisors and Valley Forge Casino Resort to provide grants to organizations that serve Upper Merion residents and to award scholarships for high school seniors from Upper Merion Township who are continuing their education. Applications are now being accepted.

Travel restrictions are scheduled on U.S. 422 and Route 363 (Trooper Road) on Monday, November 23, and Tuesday, November 24, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for roadwork. The project is scheduled to finish later this fall.
