Free Flu Shots
Montgomery County is giving out FREE flu shots on Tuesday, October 27 from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM in Freedom Hall at the township building.
Blood Results
The American Red Cross collected 41 blood donations during its blood drive on Monday, October 19 at the Township Building. Thank you for donating!

Grave Tales
Churchyard tours will support Christ Church (Old Swedes) and W.S. Hancock Society. The fundraiser on Saturday, October 24 will focus on stories, headstone iconography, and symbolism. The tours start at 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM, on the half-hour.
KOP Mall-O-Ween
On Saturday, October 31 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, kids are invited to wear their Halloween costumes and visit shops throughout the King of Prussia mall to collect goodies. Trick-or-treaters should meet at the lower level of the Plaza outside JCPenney.
Election Season RecyclingThis flyer contains a list of drop off sites around Montgomery County where campaign signs and stakes can be brought for recycling. The drop off period is from November 4 thru November 12.

Scouting For Food
The local boy and cub scouts are holding their annual "Scouting for Food" drive in November. They will be distributing bags for food donations on November 14, and collecting the filled bags on Saturday, November 21. KOP Cub Scout Pack leader, Ryan Hope, will give more details in the coming weeks.

Township Citizens Academy
The class schedule is posted on the township website. Beginning on November 10 and concluding December 15, residents will receive an in-depth look inside local government.
Show Park Love
The Upper Merion Tree Tenders and Shade Tree Commission will plant 30 trees on Saturday November 14, starting at 9:00 AM. Volunteers will break up into groups at the corner of Henderson and Ross Roads to plant at Bob Holland Park, Coates Lane & Evergreen Lane. Please bring shovels and work gloves. Volunteering? Community Center Hours
Sign up as a Charter Passholder! The deadline is November 25. In the meantime, here are the hours for the Upper Merion Community Center which opens in 2016; Monday through Friday, from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Saturday & Sunday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Women's Adult Basketball
Meets Tuesdays from 7:00-9:00 PM at the Upper Merion Middle School. This pick-up league program starts Oct. 27 and runs through Dec. 22. Minimum of 10 needed to play. Register today!
Computer Explorers
Inspire your creativity and imagination with almost an unlimited choice of characters, environments, obstacles and vehicles for your 3-D world. Children will be working in groups of 2 or 3 per computer. Meets Weds. from Oct 28 - Dec. 9 in Belmont Classroom from 4:30-5:30 PM.
Nordic Walking
Outdoor fitness walking with specially designed poles. This brisk walking is intended to improve cardiovascular efficiency, control weight, and reduce stress. Program meets Saturdays, Oct. 31 to Dec. 12, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Valley Forge Visitor Center Lower Parking Lot.

E-HISTORY FACT |
New Ambulance Headquarters On October 23, 1969, Lafayette Ambulance dedicated its new headquarters located on North Henderson Road. The new building had a two-car garage and, due to the growth of Upper Merion Township, the decision to purchase a second ambulance was made.

422 - Slow Going
On Monday, October 26, through Saturday, October 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures will occur on U.S. 422 East and West. The eastbound lane closure will occur between the Oaks and Route 363 (Trooper Road) interchanges, and the westbound restriction will be from the bridge over the Schuylkill River to the Route 363 (Trooper Road) Interchange.
On Monday, October 26, through Saturday, October 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures will be in place on Route 363 (Trooper Road) between U.S. 422 and Audubon Road, and on Audubon Road near the intersection of Route 363 (Trooper Road).
