Charter and annual passholders  who sign up today will be able to swim for the remainder of the 2015 summer season for FREE! The swim club price structure has not been established for future seasons but Community Center passholders will receive a discount on Upper Merion swimming pool memberships. The Upper Merion Township Swimming Pool is open daily from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM through Monday, September 7 (Labor Day). The pool, managed by the Parks and Recreation Department, will also be open on September 12 and 13, 2015, it's final weekend.  Sign up below.

Knock Out Poverty

Cradles to Crayons, a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization, is collecting gently used kids clothing as part of a Teen Leadership Program until August 3.  The boxes are located in the upper and lower levels of the township building. Questions? Contact Fatima Browne 484-804-3959.
 

American Red Cross

Thank you Upper Merion Township!  The American Red Cross collected 45 blood donations on Monday, July 20. Learn about the blood donation process, and what to know before making a donation by visiting the American Red Cross.

Emergency Alert - Sign Up!

Upper Merion Township has transitioned to Montgomery County's new system, ReadyMontco, which will send emergency alerts via phone, text, and email to residents. Please sign up.   

 

School Drive 
Feel The Warmth, a local non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization, is holding a back to school drive. They need the following list of items. The boxes are located in the upper and lower levels of the township building.

 

KOP's Festival of People

Ronald Bradley and Friends will perform at Upper Merion Township Park, (175 Valley Forge Road). KOP comes alive on August 16 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM,with visual artists, vendors, a Kid's Zone, senior oasis tent, prizes, and much more. Read to the Dogs

Every Wednesday in July through August 5 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, kids in grades K-4 can sign up for a fun ten-minute time slot to practice reading to greyhounds: Star & Brandy! Register at the library.

E-HISTORY FACT

Henderson Family Cemetery

The Henderson Family Burial Plot is one of the earliest burial grounds in the township. It is located on South Henderson Road near Gulph Road. Henderson Rd is one of the oldest thoroughfares in the Township, named for one of our earliest families. The earliest burial is Ann Henderson, the 11 month old daughter of John and Ann Henderson,  who died on August 14, 1763.
