Septa KOP Rail Project
SEPTA representatives gave an update on the King of Prussia Rail Project at the Board of Supervisors Workshop on Thursday, July 9: plans are being evaluated to provide an extension of the Norristown High Speed Line (NHSL) to the King of Prussia area. SEPTA's overview.

Linear Park Buzz
KOP-BID and Upper Merion Township started work on a visionary Linear Park in the KOP Business Park in April. Once complete, the park will serve as a catalyst for modernizing the entire business park with wide, multi-use sidewalks, landscaping, pedestrian lighting, benches and trash receptacles.
Did You Know?
KOP-BID and UMT received five grants, totaling $3.5M, to help fund design and construction of the Linear Park. KOP-BID will provide $475,000 in matching funds, bringing a total of $4M in improvements to the King of Prussia business park.

Let The Race(s) Begin
The 6th Annual Zucchini 500 is on! --- Saturday, July 11. Children of all ages will participate in a race with their creatively decorated zucchini racers. Trophies, prizes, and certificates of achievement will be awarded.
Zucchini Only? Naw' Baby!
There will be a face painter, balloon artist, and live music performed by Rick Pultorak. Local artisans, Copper Lantern Pictures and Silverwear will also be present as well as Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue. Mucho Bueno, the popular food truck vendor, is serving lunch.

Requesting Service?
The Public Works Department will be accepting storm debris until Friday, July 31. The debris must meet the Yard Waste Collection Guidelines on the township's website.

Kids Safety Camp
The Fire and Rescue Services Division and Fire Marshal's Office will host the annual Fire and Rescue Kids Safety Camp at 175 West Valley Forge Road, King of Prussia. The camp is for children between the ages of 10 to 17. Camp runs from Monday, July 27 until Friday, July 31 from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Contact the Parks and Recreation Department for more details and to register: $50 for residents and $60 for non-residents.

Ziggy Logo Creator
Noted artist Harry Deuber was born in Gulph Mills in 1937. He lived there and in King Manor for a time, but eventually relocated to Spokane, WA, in 1958. His unique style of artwork included scenes of Conshohocken and Gulph Mills. Mr. Deuber created a number of logos while working for an ad agency, including Ziggy the character for Ziegler Building Center, now Ziggy's.
