Rambler's New Schedule 
Visit the Upper Merion Township building and pick up a copy of the Rambler's new schedule.  New stops include:
Heuser Park, Valley Forge Casino Resort, and Target. Wal-Mart and Wegmans are now permanent stops. Two buses travel a fixed route through the township from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Saturday. View schedule here.

Clean & Green
 The Safety and Codes Enforcement plumbing inspector has a new Chevy Sierra pick-up truck that uses compressed natural gas. A few months ago, Codes Enforcement entered the alternative fueled vehicle arena by purchasing a Chevy Volt, an electric vehicle.
 
Recognizing A Job Well Done
The Pennsylvania Emergency Health Services Council recognized the King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Companies as the "Pennsylvania Rescue Service of the Year" at their annual awards ceremony in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania in November, in conjunction with the annual Pennsylvania Fire & Emergency Services Dinner.

Shown in the photo are executives of the Pennsylvania Emergency Health Services Council, Pennsylvania Director of Emergency Medical Services Richard Gibbons and members of the King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Company. King of Prussia Fire Company Assistant Chief of Rescue Services Bill Elder accepted the award on behalf of the company.

New Social Sites
Upper Merion Township is expanding it's social media presence with Instagram and Vimeo! Instagram is a fun and quirky way to share your life with friends through pictures. Vimeo is a video-sharing website in which users can upload, share, and view videos. Vimeo doesn't allow advertisements on any 
videos that you upload.

Master Plan Meeting
The next public meeting for the P & R Master Plan Subcommittee will be held on Tuesday, March 3 at 6:30 PM in the Valley Forge Room.

Upper Merion Foundation Board 

The Board of Supervisors has created a new citizen board.  The Foundation's purpose is to secure resources from individuals, corporations, community organizations and foundations to be distributed for programs that benefit the citizens of Upper Merion Township.  Chosen programs will enhance the community's quality of life.  Click here to see vacancies.

Restaurant week runs from March 2-8! Lunch menus are priced at $10, $15, or $20. Dinner menus priced at $20, $30, or $40. Find out here which restaurants are participating. 

 

CHOP - Summer Opening

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's (CHOP) new KOP Specialty Care Center is slated to open on N. Gulph Road in the summer of 2015. A portion of the proceeds from participating dineKOP restaurants will be donated to the facility.
