E-History Fact

What is a Keystone Marker?

Keystone Markers are roadside signs created by the PA Department of Highways, following WWI. They were designed as a distinctive way to highlight PA's unique town names and provide a snippet of history about the location. Markers are usually placed at each of the principle entrances to towns and cities, as well as other places of interest. King of Prussia has two markers: one is in storage awaiting restoration and the other is a damaged marker on S. Gulph Road near the Sunoco gas station. For more information click here.
