13th Annual Senior Fall Fling

Charged Up & Ready
The township purchased a new Chevy Volt, an alternative fuel vehicle that runs on pure electricity and switches to gasoline for longer trips. It is assigned to the property maintenance officer.
A Celebrated Life Mary Morris turned 100 years old on Sunday, August 31, 2014. Ms. Morris was born in a house on Church Road and lived in the township her entire life, and resided with her daughter in King of Prussia. Sadly, she passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2014. Her long life continues to be celebrated by family and friends. Look for her special story in the winter edition of Township Lines. |

Mosquito Spraying
The Montgomery County Health Dept. (MCHD) will be spraying on Monday, September 8 to control the adult mosquito population in selected areas. The rain date is Monday, September 15. Click here for map. Check out www.montcopa.org for more details.

Friend of UMGA-TV
The Upper Merion Library Board of Trustees named UMGA-TV as the 2014 Library Friend of the Year. This honor has been given to volunteers, government officials, business owners, and philanthropists since 1989. Recipients are chosen based on their outstanding advocacy of the library.

We do too! The UMSCC will sell them at the Community Fair on Saturday, September 6 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Heuser Park (Rain Date: Sunday, September 7).
Good Food, Good Health
On Monday, September 8 at 10:00 AM, the UMSCC will host "Good Food, Good Health" with Pari. Advance sign-up and payment is required so sufficient food can be prepared. This month Pari will be preparing lettuce wraps. Cost: $6.00.
Friday Flicks
On Friday, September 12, we'll be showing the movie, Captain Phillips, starring Tom Hanks. Come see this high tension dramatization of a real life story about Somali pirates overwhelming a cargo ship. Pizza at 11:15 AM and the movie is 12:00 PM. Pizza and movie $5.00. Movie only: $2.00.
