In an effort to support libraries and encourage summer reading, McDonald's Restaurants of the Greater Philadelphia Region gave a $1,000 donation to the children's department of the Upper Merion Township Library.
Supervisor Bill Jenaway took part in the Build Strong Coalition Conference this summer. The forum featured a discussion of efforts by the Congressional Fire Services Institute and the Build Strong Coalition to incentivize states to adopt and enforce state-wide building codes.

Mary Morris is a township centenarianl; she turned 100 years young on Sunday, August 31, 2014! Mary was born in a house on Church Road and has lived in the township her entire life. She resides with her daughter in King of Prussia.
Back To School Drive
Upper Merion Emergency Aid and Feel the Warmth are collecting canned food and school supplies. The drop off point is located in the township building Atrium until September 6. MS iPad Initiative
The Upper Merion Middle School is transforming their learning environment. "The students will have school issued iPads," says School Superintendent Dr. Jane Callaghan. Middle School teachers, students and parents will receive training.
Skate Park Fundraiser
Two upcoming fundraisers to support the proposed Skate Park are a Spaghetti fundraiser and a Clothing drive.
