Remembering 9/11

Lace up your running shoes; the 3rd Annual King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Company 9/11 Memorial 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk is almost here!  On Sunday, September 14, 2014 our annual run will start from the fire house at 170 Allendale Rd at 9 am. Check in and day of registration open at 7:30 am. Awards and a brief ceremony at the memorial will follow after the run. Proceeds from this event will help maintain the 9/11 Memorial located at the fire house. This memorial's centerpiece is two steel beams from the World Trade Center buildings.  Also, a portion of this year's proceeds will be go to the Zachary Wallace Fund.  Zachary Wallace was a four year-old boy who passed away in January 2005 after suffering from an undiagnosed blood and immunological disease. The Zachary Wallace Fund was established to provide assistance to other families with children who have suffered physical injury or disability due to unknown or rare diseases. The Fund strives to make recovery or endurance of illness less stressful to families who need extra financial support. See flyer here and register here.
