BCA Grants Awards 

The Board of Community Assistance held its annual reception on Thursday, July 10 to honor and award organizations for their civic mindedness and service to Upper Merion Township residents, and also to recognize students who have demonstrated educational needs and academic worthiness.

Blood Drive
A Red Cross Blood Drive will be held in Freedom Hall of the Upper Merion Township Building on Monday July 21, from 2:00 -7:00 PM. 
 
Let's Do Something
The Upper Merion Area Community Alliance for a Safer Tomorrow (CAST) is holding a Community Meeting on Tuesday, July 15 at 7:00 PM at the Upper Merion Area High School, in the Large Group Instruction Room.  We will share key findings from the Pennsylvania Youth Survey about the percentages of students who are participating in risky behaviors in grades 6,8,10, and 12. We can do something about it as a community.   

Have a Zoo Day  

Bring your little ones to the Elmwood Park Zoo  on Saturday, July 12 from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM.  The zoo is holding an Upper Merion 1/2 price day! See the flyer here.

Join Dr. Stephen Phillips for CSI: Ancient Egypt, Forensic Anthropology 101. See how forensic science is used to solve a 3,000 year old murder on Wednesday, July 23rd at 7:00 PM in Freedom Hall. Ages 5-12.  

Eyes of the Wild

Meet some amazing animals on Tuesday, July 15 at 7:00 PM in Freedom Hall.  Bring the whole family. No registration required.

Robot Building Workshop

Build your own robot on Friday, July 18th from 2:00 - 3:30 PM in the Henderson Room.  This event is open to students in kindergarten and up.  No registration required.

ON THE MOVE 

Road Closing 
The westbound Interstate 76 ramp to Route 23 in West Conshohocken Borough will be closed from 8:00 PM Friday, July 11 to 6:00 AM  Saturday, July 12 for expansion joint repair.
 
Bridge Inspections
Expect delays on Monday, July 14 and Tuesday, July 15. Inspections are scheduled next week on U.S. Route 422 bridges, spanning the Schuylkill River near Pottstown and King of Prussia.
