Pop, Crackle, Boom - July 4th Celebration!!!   

Upper Merion Parks & Recreation invites you to a July 4th Celebration at Heuser Park. The day's events will include a carnival at 3:00 PM,  a Mango Men Concert at 4:45 PM, and fireworks at around 9:00 PM. For more information, please read the block below. Come join the par-tay!

LIBRARY

Get Inspired

On Monday, July 7 at 6:30 PM in Freedom Hall, prolific author David Lubar will share his fun books.  This event is open to students in grades 3 - 12. Registration is required. Please visit the on-line events calendar at www.umtownship.org/library or stop into the library.

 

5, 4, 3, 2, 1 - Blast Off!

Learn about rockets with "Professor Bob's Hands on Science" and be part of a live rocket launch on Wednesday, July 9 at 6:30 PM in Freedom Hall.  This event is geared for kids ages 5 and up.  No registration is required.

 

One Book, One Community

On July 10 at 6:00 PM, author K.B. Laugheed will be at the library to discuss her latest book, The Spirit Keeper. Books will be available for purchase and can be autographed at the conclusion of the program. Or, the book may be borrowed from the library, including the e-book version.   

 

Free Pass Available

Upper Merion Township patrons may enjoy a free pass to The Academy of Natural Sciences Museum. All you need is a valid library card. The general admission pass can be used for two adults and five children. Reserve your pass now by contacting the library or through our online catalog.

SENIOR CENTER

Can You Play?  

Every Tuesday, from 1:30 to 2:30 PM the Upper Merion Senior Service Center Band practices under the direction of Ed Hickman. Our band is planning to expand. Anyone 55 or older is invited to join. Call us at the Senior Center.

     

Line Dancing

The Upper Merion Senior Service Center offers line dancing at 1:00 PM in the gym on Wednesdays for a small fee of $1.00. The coordinator is Aracelia Panzano.
