Dreams Do Come True
Christa Rodriguez loves Miley Cyrus! The UMHS senior's community campaigned to have the student/cancer patient meet Cyrus. In a twist of fate, the concert set for April 22 was moved up a day to accommodate the Philadelphia Flyers playoff schedule. Rodriguez was given the green light by doctor's to attend the Philadelphia concert on April 21.
(Update as of 4/18: Miley Cyrus is in the hospital. Will the concert be cancelled? Stay Tuned!)

Earth Day Celebration!
The fun begins Saturday, April 26 from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. You can visit a variety of vendors, enter the Earth Day Poster Contest, and participate in the 5K Run & Fun Walk at 8:30 AM. The Carnival games are hosted by the Upper Merion Middle School Science Club Students. Location: Upper Merion Township Building.

Wood mulch is used for aesthetic appeal, color, organic content, weed control barrier, dust abatement, and soil moisture. Cigarettes are often carelessly tossed onto landscaped areas. Please note that Upper Merion fire companies have extinguished several landscape fires due to careless disposal. Would you please share this information?

Save The Earth
Compost bins and rain barrels are on sale. This "one day only" event will be held on Saturday, May 17 from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM. The sale will be held at Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell. More information here.

Parent-Child Workshop
The library will sponsor play-focused workshops for parents/caregivers and their young children, ages 1 - 3, on Saturdays, April 26, May 3, and May 10, at 10:00 AM in Freedom Hall. A qualified child development specialist will be present to answer questions.
Spring Play
Don't miss a very special evening of live entertainment on Wednesday, April 30 at 7:00 PM in Freedom Hall. The talented Jr. Friends Thespians will bring funny children's books to life. This FREE event is for families with kids ages 3 to 7, but ALL are welcome.

Cop Camp Returns
The program returns for a second season after receiving rave reviews! It will begin Monday, June 16 from 9:00 AM SHARP to 1:00 PM at Heuser Park. The bridge deck replacement project on Allendale Road, between the Court and Wills Boulevard, is progressing nicely. The project is expected to be completed by mid-June.
