SAFETY AND CODES

Fire Safety Tip of the Week - Clothes Dryers Usage

Do not use the dryer without a lint filter and clean out the filter before each use. Also, remove lint from the vent pipe quarterly or more often if your clothes are taking longer to dry. Also check that the air exhaust vent pipe is not restricted, and is vented outside the home, and that the outdoor vent flap will open when the dryer is operating. Finally, never leave the dryer on when you leave home or go to bed.  Practice this safety tip to reduce the risk of fire in the home.
