   Celebrating Black     History Month

Susie King Taylor grew up in Savannah, Georgia as a slave. She spent many hours learning, in secret, how to read and write. When the Civil War broke out, Taylor became an unpaid nurse serving northern African American troops.  She later wrote the book "Reminiscences of My Life in Camp" detailing her time served saving the lives of United States Soldiers. SAFETY AND CODES

Medical Oxygen

Never smoke in a home where medical oxygen is used. Medical oxygen can cause material to ignite more easily and make fires burn at a faster rate than normal.  It can make an existing fire burn faster and hotter.  Post "No Smoking" and "No Open Flames" signs inside and outside the home to remind residents and guests not to smoke.
