Portable Space Heater Tip

If you are using a portable space heater in your home to battle the colder temperatures, make sure you plug your heater directly into a wall outlet and not into an extension cord or a power strip.  Also make sure the portable space heater  has a 3-foot clearance from combustible materials, and that the heater is equipped with an automatic shut off switch, in case the heater tips over.
