Victory! Highest Peace Corps Funding Level Ever
|
YOU DID IT! We were told "wait until next year," but we came together, redoubled our efforts and helped secure the largest budget for the Peace Corps in its history.
Congress passed and the President has signed a Fiscal Year 2016 spending package that calls for $410 million for the Peace Corps, an increase of $30.5 million over the previous fiscal year.
The $410 million appropriation is the figure requested by President Obama earlier this year. It will represent the largest dollar figure for Peace Corps spending in the agency's 54-year history ...
