Peace Corps Week 2014
Peace Corps Week celebrates President Kennedy's establishment of the Peace Corps on March 1, 1961.
During this annual event, the Peace Corps community renews its commitment to service and celebrates all the ways that Peace Corps makes a difference at home and abroad.
This year, Peace Corps invites current and returned Peace Corps Volunteers to get involved in Peace Corps Week 2014 by participating in a Video Challenge and Classroom Challenge. Find out how you can can get involved!

Next Step Travel Thailand Trip A Success

NPCA's Next Step Travel program features small group travel (up to 20), hands-on service projects, educational programs and a close-up view of the impact of Volunteer service. Nominations Open for Shriver Award
The Sargent Shriver Award for Distinguished Humanitarian Service is awarded to a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer who continues to make a sustained and distinguished contribution to humanitarian causes at home or abroad. The award was named to recognize the tremendous contributions of the first Peace Corps Director, Sargent Shriver, in the founding and development of the Peace Corps.
All nomination materials must be submitted by March 31, 2014 at 5 pm ET.

The Governance Committee of the NPCA Board of Directors announces the 2014 elections for member-elected representatives to the NPCA Board. Three member-elected Board positions are open for nomination from February 1 through March 3, representing the following regions: - Southern Tier, West (Geographic regions)
- Asia and the Pacific (Country of Service Region)
Candidates for election to the Board must be current members of NPCA and are strongly encouraged to be active participants in NPCA programs, including fundraising campaigns. The length of term is for three years. |
