Why I Support NPCA: My Twitter Friends!

As a recently Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV), Andrea Kruse (Bulgaria 2008-10) doesn't have a lot of disposable income.

That's one reason we really appreciate the fact that Andrea, a resident of St. Paul Minnesota, is a member of the National Peace Corps Association (NPCA). Not only that, she dug just a little bit deeper and made an extra donation to NPCA's Advocacy Program. (Andrea is the Advocacy Coordinator for the Minnesota RPCVs). Here's her story ...

"Why do I support the NPCA?  The joy of meeting up with my online NPCA community of Twitter friends every Friday.  This is the highlight of my week..."

End of year donations are crucial to the National Peace Corps Association. Please be like Andrea, and donate today.

Advocacy: Bringing Your Voice to President Obama

Our thanks to the 115 RPCV groups from all around the country that signed onto our letter to President Obama. The letter urges continued strong funding for the Peace Corps and lays out some key criteria for the President to consider when nominating the next Peace Corps Director.

We heard from a number of individuals who wanted to sign the letter. So, now it's your turn. We are seeking the comments from everyone in the Peace Corps community - RPCVs, former staff, applicants, family, friends and other supporters - on why the Peace Corps still matters to our nation.

Follow this link to learn more and send your comments. We will share them throughout 2013 with members of the new Congress.
