San Ramon

Congratulations to all DVC graduates!

Graduation ceremony: May 24, 7 p.m.   
The graduation ceremony will be held at Viking Stadium (weather permitting). Gates open at 6 p.m. Parking permits are not necessary. Invitation letters were mailed to students who earned a degree or certificate for summer or fall 2012, or spring 2013. Student cap and gown packets are available for purchase at the DVC Book Center.
   

Application to walk in the ceremony with coursework remaining: last day to apply is Friday, May 17.

 

New state regulations may impact your fall enrollment.

Effective fall 2013, state regulation governing California community colleges will change with respect to repeatable courses. Read more
Financial Aid Announcements

Student ID

Students visiting the Financial Aid Office are required to show photo ID when checking in at the window. Preferred form of identification is a Diablo Valley College Student ID card, which can be obtained through the Associated Students Office (ASO) in the Margaret Lesher Building. Students must take a photo ID and a copy of their current class schedule to ASO to obtain the DVC Student ID card.

 

Summer Pell Grant awards

Students who have been awarded the Pell Grant for the 2012-2013 academic year and have NOT received full-time (12+ units) disbursements for both semesters may be eligible for funds during the summer 2013 semester. Students should meet with a financial aid coordinator to determine their eligibility for the Summer 2013 Pell Grant.

 

Board of Governors Fee Waiver application

May 24, 2013 is the last day to submit the Board of Governors Fee Waiver for the 2012-2013 academic year to determine eligibility to waive the $46 per unit enrollment fees for the summer 2012, fall 2012 and spring 2013 semesters.

 

Financial aid lab assistance

Financial aid staff provide online assistance in completing the 2012-2013 and 2013-14 FAFSA and online Board of Governor's Fee Waiver applications, checking your financial aid status in WebAdvisor, and reviewing your financial aid award letter. Visit the Enrollment Lab in the Student Services Center Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. to receive online assistance.

 

IT'S NOT TOO LATE to complete the  2012-2013 FAFSA

Eligible students may receive retroactive disbursements for the 2012 fall semester.  Apply at www.fafsa.gov.  Deadline to be considered for the Pell Grant for the 2012-2013 academic year is May 24, 2013.

California Dream Act

 2012-2013 Dream Act Fee Waiver

It's not too late to complete the California Dream Act and Board of Governor's Fee Waiver for the 2012-2013 academic year for AB540 students who wish to have their eligibility determined for the fee waiver for the 2013 spring semester. You may also print and submit a paper application. The last day to apply for the California Dream Act Fee Waiver is May 24.

The 2013-2014 California Dream Act Application is currently available. Learn more valuable information about the California Dream Act. If you need assistance, please visit the Financial Aid Office to meet with a financial aid coordinator.

Sell you books back to the Book Center

Buyback dates and times are: May 20-24. Spring rental books must be returned by May 28 to avoid penalties. You can bring your books to the main cash registers inside the store. Store hours for the Pleasant Hill Campus Book Center are: Monday - Thursday 7:45 a.m. - 7 p.m., and Friday 7:45 a.m.-3 p.m. Store hours for the San Ramon Campus book store are: Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., closed Fridays.

London: fall 2013 semester. September 5 - December 6, 2013 
The final application deadline is Friday, May 17, 2013.

Campus Alert System
Your attention please... 
A loud siren will be heard throughout the DVC campuses the

first Wednesday of every month at 11 a.m. This will be a test of our Campus Alert System. There is nothing you need to do during a siren test. 


In the event of an actual emergency or crisis situation, the siren sound will continue for three minutes. Students and all campus personnel will be instructed to Shelter, Shut, and Listen.
