Hello there! It's Kristie Larsen here and I'm so glad to be with you today using August Card Sketch and sharing a quick technique that can be used with any outline stamps.
Let's get started! First here is my card:
I started with the Altenew stamp set,
Painted Poppy. I heat embossed the images using
gold embossing powder and
Versamark ink.
Next I took some
Tim Holtz mini cube distress inks and sponged color over the embossed image with a
foam blending tool.
It's such an easy thing to do and its fun to see the flower come to life. This technique is a fun way to get a different look out of this stamp set. This set is originally a multiple layer stamp set, but you can use just the outline and add your own color. And instantly you have a new look!
Next I trimmed down the panel so the edge of the card base could peek out, thus adding the vertical line seen in the sketch. I added a sentiment and this simple but pretty card was complete!
I hope you found something inspiring here today. This is a fun and fast technique that i hope you will try! It's great to have in your arsenal to help you get more out of your stamp sets.
Have a great month. Thanks for letting us visit you in your inbox! You can head over to the store to see all the new items in stock for you to enjoy!
