LinkedIn's Top 10 Most Overused Words for 2013
Every year LinkedIn looks at the most used buzzwords of the year. And here is their list of the Top Ten Most Overused Buzzwords of 2013:

1. Responsible
2. Strategic
3. Creative
4. Effective
5. Patient
6. Expert
7. Organizational
8. Driven
9. Innovative
10. Analytical

Words that were retired from the 2012 list are experimental, motivated, multinational, and specialized. The new words this year are responsible, creative, effective, and analytical. Are any of the top ten words in your LinkedIn profile? Looking for words that will really describe who you are? Together we can make your LinkedIn profile really standout in 2014.
Another New Year, Again?
What, it's a new year, again? You will have to excuse me . . . I did just go through preparing for a new year this past September. As I've mentioned in a few e-letters, I have been working on making changes in my life. And much of the thought and work was part of preparing for the Jewish New Year of 5774. Now that 2014 is around the corner, I guess it's time to also look at what's happening with my business for the new year.

Focus, I need to focus on what my business does and then focus on doing it. Update, there will be some changes to my website in 2014 (thank you, Arlene!) Write, there will be more blogs -- not just thinking about what I'd like to write, but actually writing. Organize, I will get more organized in 2014 (and I will follow the suggestions in The Happiness Advantage for how to accomplish this.) And I won't forget to smile, breathe, and continue to find joy in my daily life.

What are you thinking about for 2014?
