Thank You (or What are You Grateful For?) -- Part 2 |
 |
Last month I talked about who I was grateful for and thanked all of you for being there. But I left out someone very, very important . . .
You and me -- us!! How often do you remember to stop and say thank you to yourself? We certainly take ourselves for granted. And we rarely give ourselves the credit we deserve. So, as we finish 2012 and get ready to embark on 2013, take some time to look back at all you have accomplished this past year -- and I know you have accomplished a lot. And say a big THANK YOU to you for doing all that you do.

The 10 Most Overused Words in 2012 in LinkedIn Profiles (and Big Changes to LinkedIn!) |
 |
And the winners (or losers) this year (in the US) are . . .
- creative
- organizational
- effective
- motivated
- extensive experience
- track record
- innovative
- responsible
- analytical
- problem solving
LinkedIn found the top 10 by collecting the adjectives found in the summary section of users' public profile. They also analyzed by country -- creative was the most used buzzword not only in the US but also in Australia, Canada, Germany, Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, and Sweden. Switzerland, the country known for its clocks and preciseness (and chocolate, so they're not all bad) overused analytical; motivated was the most used word in Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.
So, are any of those words in your profile? Need some help making your LinkedIn profile stand-out?
LinkedIn is changing the way profiles look, the apps that work with them, and other key features. Start 2013 by updating your profile -- let me help you with the "new" LinkedIn!
