$1.00 SALE SPECIALS!
Buy One Of The Bottles Below & Buy The Same Brand, Second Bottle for Only $1.00. This Same Purchase May Be Repeated.

  • 2011 Kendall Jackson, Chardonnay, Avant, California: Our price is $19.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: This refreshing Chardonnay erupts with captivating layers of fresh pineapple, bright green apple, crisp Meyer lemon, juicy pear and wildflowers. It shows refreshing acidity and sleek mineral notes which are balanced by a rounded mid-palate and a long, pure fruit finish.
  • 2011 Mer Soleil, Chardonnay, Silver, Santa Lucia Highlands: Our price is $39.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: Bright minerality and fresh-cut hay qualities are apparent on the nose, followed by zesty citrus and stone-fruit notes. Seamless fruit flavors of grapefruit, lemon and gooseberry shine through on the
mid-palate, complemented by a crisp acidity that carries through from start to finish.

  • 2010 Mer Soleil, Chardonnay, Barrel Fermented, Santa Lucia Highlands: Our price is $39.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: The Wagner family makes two Chardonnays under the Mer Soleil label. The unoaked "Silver" version and this luscious, barrel-fermented one. Copious amounts of tropical and citrus fruit fills the nose, turning soft and round on the palate with accents of brioche, baked apples and vanilla.

  • 2008 Marimar, Pinot Noir, Mas Cavalls, Dona Margarita Vineyard, Sonoma Coast, 94 pts., Wine Enthusiast, Our price is $49.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: This vintage displays deep, intense nose of black cherry and raspberry, a note of faded roses, and spicy sandalwood, clove and cinnamon in the background. On the palate it is silky and chewy, with great structure, bright acidity, and firm but supple tannins that promise a long life.
  • 2010 Flowers, Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast, 93 pts., Wine & Spirits: Our price is $59.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: "This is blended from Flowers's far-coast, estate-grown fruit (39 percent) and selections from growers in the western reaches of Sonoma Coast; there's also a portion from Gaps Crown, a notably ocean-influenced vineyard east of Highway 101. This wine stands apart for its clear focus, a clean presentation of Sonoma's far coast. The primary fruit is a frame for the soil character, a resinous scent, rooty but more elegant than that might imply. Jonathan Waters of Chez Panisse said, 'It tastes like old-school California,' an honest, unpretentious wine the grower might present by saying, 'This is what we make here.'
  • 2010 Paul Hobbs, Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley, 91 pts., Wine Spectator: Our price is $69.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: Paul Hobbs made this exceptional Pinot Noir in a tricky year and made it in considerable volume, a challenge to most vintners. Hobbs founded his own label in 1991, but also consults for dozens of clients in California, Argentina, Chile and Hungary. This bottling is one of six different 2008 California Pinot Noirs from Hobbs; the grapes for this one come from six vineyards in Russian River Valley, including the Lindsey Estate, Valdez and Walker Station.
  • 2008 Bouchard Pere & Fils, Beaune Teurons, Premier Cru, Burgundy, 91 pts., Parker: Our price is $39.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: "The Bouchard 2008 Beaune Teurons smells alluringly of nutmeg, blond tobacco, ripe cherry and red currant. With a lovely combination of silken texture and enticing berry freshness reminiscent of its Pinot sibling and immediate neighbor from the Clos de la Mousse, it reveals a greater depth of meatiness and ultimately greater richness, while not neglecting savory salinity and chalky minerality. It should be worth following for a dozen or more years. The same person has been farming these parcels and of the Clos de la Mousse for the Bouchard domaine for decades, notes Philippe Prost."
  • 2010 Rombauer, Zinfandel, California: Our price is $39.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: Deep purple in color; powerful aromas of wild berries, clove and plum emerge from the glass. Luscious, juicy layers of black cherry, blackberry and boysenberry integrate with nuances of allspice and burst on the palate. Berry flavors linger for an extended finish.
  • Hartford, Zinfandel, Old Vine, Russian River Valley: Our price is $39.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: Displays ripe blackberry, boysenberry and black raspberry aromas and flavors along with silky chocolate notes on the finish. Tremendously dense, round texture complemented by big fruit and great power.
  • 2010 Hartford, Zinfandel, Old Vine, Highwire Vineyard, Russian River Valley, 93 pts., Parker: Our price is $59.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: Consistently distinctive cracked white pepper nuances differentiate the Highwire single-vineyard Zinfandel from our other Zinfandel bottlings. Concentrated blackberry and boysenberry fruit aromas and flavors are a signature of this vineyard each year and complement cracked pepper and allspice nuances that linger.
  • 2007 Duckhorn Vineyards, Paraduxx, Red Wine, Napa Valley, 90 pts., Connoissieur's Guide: Our Price $64.00 and Get the Second Bottle for $1.00: Dark, deep, vibrant red color · Aromas of raspberry, cherry, cedar, spice, caramelized brown sugar, and sweet oak accented by a hint of white pepper · Dark cherry and raspberry flavors mingle with rich, compelling layers of blueberry, cedar and molasses.
  • 2009 GAJA, Ca'Marcanda, Promis, Tuscany, 90 pts., Wine Spectator: Our price is $59.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: Angelo Gaja's Ca' Marcanda estate is located in the Castagneto Carducci Commune of Bolgheri, on the Tuscan coast. The vineyards are known for their loam and clay "terre brune" soils, hot summer days and brisk coastal nights. The 2009 Promis is a blend of 55% Merlot, 35% Syrah and 10% Sangiovese that come together in perfect harmony, already providing a sophisticated drink that will continue to evolve over the next decade.

Village Wine Cellar - Where we keep our entire store at a constant 64 degrees

From Parker's Wine Buyers Guide No 7 by Robert M. Parker, Jr.  is this quote from the introduction, How to Store Wine, page 9:

"If you can somehow get the temperature down to 65 degrees Farenheight or below, you will never have to worry about the condition of your wines."

Here at the Village Wine Cellar we proudly keep  we proudly keep our ENTIRE store a constant "64 degrees temperature controlled," 365 days a year, hence Village Wine Cellar.

This separates our store from all others as temperature is vital to the keeping wine from being spoiled.  Proper storage is crucial to keeping the wine's integrity and quality from being compromised.  As you are aware,  all too often, someone has purchased a bottle of wine elsewhere only to find that their purchase is ruined due to the store temperature was too warm.  This will never happen at Village Wine Cellar.
