$1.00 SALE SPECIALS!
Buy One Of The Bottles Below & Buy The Same Brand, Second Bottle for Only $1.00. This Same Purchase May Be Repeated.

  • 2011 Giesen, Riesling, Estate, Marlborough: Our price is $19.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00:
A lovely purity of aroma with notes of honeysuckle, jasmine and lime combining beautifully. Purity is also apparent on the palate with flavours of tangelo, a touch of blue borage honey. A succulent, juicy palate is kept in check by the clean, fresh acidity giving the palate length and minerality.
  • 2010 Gainey Vineyard, Riesling, Santa Ynez Valley: Our price is $19.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00:  "Produced from our 30-year-old vines planted at our Home Ranch in eastern Santa Ynez Valley, our Riesling displays gloriously fragrant aromas of orange blossom, honeysuckle, peach and apricot. Round and lush on the palate, its off-dry golden apple and apricot flavors are deep and succulent, culminating in a long, rich finish balanced by bright acidity and a refreshing minerality. A delicious sipping wine, our Riesling also is wonderful with seafood, poultry and pork dishes and spicy Asian, Latin and Caribbean cuisines. Enjoy it over the next one to two years." Jeff LeBard, Winemaker.

  • 2010 Hogue Cellars, Riesling, Genesis, Columbia Valley, 92 pts., Wine Enthusiast: Our price is $19.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: Each year some of our finest Riesling vineyards produce grapes that stand head and shoulders above the rest. We choose several of these vineyard blocks, mark them for Genesis, and pick them at optimal ripeness. The result is a beautifully balanced, intensely aromatic Riesling. The 2008 vintage has inviting aromas of lemon-lime, melon, peach, guava and vanilla. It is off-dry with a refreshingly crisp acidity, an underpinning of minerality, and tangerine/apricot on the finish. The Genesis Riesling is a great foil for spicy dishes. Pair it with tandoori chicken, Szechuan beef stir-fry, or smoky, spicy barbecue spare ribs.

  • 2010 Tablas Creek, Cotes de Tablas Blanc, Paso Robles, 92 pts., Suckling: Winery retail $30.00, our price is $29.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: The 2010 Côtes de Tablas Blanc features a serious nose, minty with stone fruits and honeydew lurking underneath. The mouth is broad and rich, peaches and cream, but dry, with a very long finish with a hint of tannin reminiscent of red apple skins, cream, and rocks, nicely saline at the end.
  • 2007 Erna Schein, Red Blend, Everything But The Kitchen Sink, Napa Valley: Our price is $59.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: This playful Les Behrens blend makes for a most intriguing, easy-drinking wine. The nose opens with smoke and hints of tar and tobacco, evolving into sweeter tones of currant, cherry and violet as the wine sits in the glass. The flavors in this bright, mouth-filling cuvee range from graphite to black huckleberry, vanilla to cherry, and the round, integrated tannins linger through the finish. This should be your 'go to' wine for any and every day.
  • 2009 Revolver Wine Co., Cabernet Franc, The Fury, Napa Valley: Our price is $59.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: This intense Cab Franc has a nose of violet, black fruit and dried herb. The mouth bursts with macerated berries and a touch of toastiness from well integrated oak. Exciting now, but will soften beautifully with age.
  • 2008 DuMol, Syrah, Jack Robert's Run, Russian River Valley, 93 pts., Parker: Our price is $99.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: "The 2008 Syrah Jack Robert's Run exhibits more bacon fat, black olive and pepper in its soaring aromas of black currants and blackberries. It is reminiscent of a high-class Crozes-Hermitage from France's Northern Rhone Valley. Both of these 2008 Syrahs should drink well for 7-10 years. " (02/2011)
  • 2006 Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe, Chateauneuf du Pape, Telegramme: Our price is $49.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: One of the legends of Chateauneuf du Pape is the great property of Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe. Robert Parker says "This venerable estate, long run by the Brunier family, is a consistent source for fabulous wines." The domaine spreads over 170 acres on the Plateau de la Crau, covered with the rocky soil that makes Chateauneuf famous."
  • 2010 Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe, Chateauneuf du Pape, La Crau, 97 pts., Parker: Our price is $99.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: "Performing considerably better than it did prior to bottling, the 2010 Vieux Telegraphe Chateauneuf du Pape is one of the all-time great Vieux Telegraphes I have tasted in the last 3+ decades. I believe it is even superior to the 2007, which I had several weeks ago. The 2010 boasts a dense purple color along with a sumptuous bouquet of spring flowers, boysenberries, black cherries, black currants, nori (the sushi seaweed wrapper), black olives, licorice and pepper. This full-bodied, meaty, thick, juicy effort possesses a boatload of tannin, but it also has incredible concentration. More massive than I remember from last year, it has put on considerable weight and intensity. Forget it for 3-4 years, and drink it over the following 25-30 years. Kudos to Daniel and Frederic Brunier!" (10/ 2012)
  • 2004 Gagliole, Colli Della Toscana Centrale, 94 pts., Wine Spectator: Our price is $99.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00:

This red wine contains Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. After pressing, it was stored for 16 months in barriques of french oak wood. Thereafter, the wine was bottled and stored for further 6 months before putting it on the market. Gagliole is well structured and balanced with dense, sweet tannins.

  • 2005 Tenuta Di Biserno, Toscana II Pinto di Biserno, 93 pts., Wine Spectator: Our Price $99.00 and Get the Second Bottle for $1.00.  According to the Wine Spectator; this is very classy on the nose, with subtle aromas of blackberry, dark chocolate and flowers. Full-bodied, with silky tannins and a long, caressing finish.

  • 2008 Orma, Toscana, IGT, Tuscany, 95 pts., Suckling: Our price is $99.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: Wow. This is really powerful,  with aromas of blueberries and blackberries and hints of spices. Then there is an  earthy, meaty undertone.  Full body, with velvety tannins and a fruity finish. Focused  and solid. Very structured.  Best in 2015.  James Suckling.com Aug. 2011

Village Wine Cellar - Where we keep our entire store at a constant 64 degrees

From Parker's Wine Buyers Guide No 7 by Robert M. Parker, Jr.  is this quote from the introduction, How to Store Wine, page 9:

"If you can somehow get the temperature down to 65 degrees Farenheight or below, you will never have to worry about the condition of your wines."

Here at the Village Wine Cellar we proudly keep  we proudly keep our ENTIRE store a constant "64 degrees temperature controlled," 365 days a year, hence Village Wine Cellar.

This separates our store from all others as temperature is vital to the keeping wine from being spoiled.  Proper storage is crucial to keeping the wine's integrity and quality from being compromised.  As you are aware,  all too often, someone has purchased a bottle of wine elsewhere only to find that their purchase is ruined due to the store temperature was too warm.  This will never happen at Village Wine Cellar.
