$1.00 SALE SPECIALS!
Buy One Of The Bottles Below & Buy The Same Brand, Second Bottle for Only $1.00. This Same Purchase May Be Repeated.
- 2011 J Vineyards & Winery, Pinot Gris, California: Our price is $19.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: An enticing bouquet of apricot and tropical/pineapple fruit, and a crisp, lush mouthfeel that bursts with flavors of lemon and lime. Medium light yellow; fragrant, tropical and stone fruit aroma with hints of honey and lime zest; medium body; fleshy, herbal, stone fruit flavors with crisp acidity; lingering aftertaste. Highly recommended.
-
2012 Ferrari Carano, Fume Blanc, Sonoma County, 90 pts., Connoisseur's Guide: Our price is $19.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: Blend: 100% Sauvignon Blanc Barrel Fermentation: 100% Malolactic Fermentation: 60% Lees Contact: 6 months Barrel Aging: 6 months Release Date: September 2003 . Citrus, mango, kiwi, and lime aromas are complemented by flavors of vanilla, guava and grapefruit in Ferrari-Caranos Fume Blanc. Cool, stainless steel tank fermentation gives this wine a crisp freshness while the subtle oak character from barrel aging adds great complexity and depth. Oysters, smoked salmon, filet of sole, orange roughy, mussels, scallops, crab, chicken, proscuitto.
-
2011 Gainey Vineyard, Sauvignon Blanc, Santa Ynez Valley: Our price is $24.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: Boasting fresh honeydew melon, bright citrus and piquant mineral aromas, with subtle herbal and earthy scents adding complexity. On the palate, the wine's rich, mouthwatering and perfectly structured honeyed melon and grapefruit flavors culminate in a long, succulent finish full of zesty guava, spice and mineral tones. Still a youngster, this vibrant wine will continue developing in bottle for another couple years, but you'll find it delicious now with your favorite seafood, poultry and salad dishes.
-
2011 Alpha Omega, Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley: Our price is $39.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: At Alpha Omega, our goal is to create a balance between Bordeaux-style Sauvignon Blanc, which we barrel fermented to give more of a mouth feel, and a New Zealand-style Sauvignon Blanc, which is crisp, fresh and expressive. Sauvignon Blanc is a varietal with a high acidity, so we never allow it to go through Malolactic Fermentation to ensure we keep the backbone of freshness and the varietal's fragile aromatics.
-
2011 K-Vintners, Viognier, Columbia Valley, 90 pts., Parker: Our price is $30.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: Grapefruit, white peach and acacia in the nose persist on a palate luscious and subtly oily yet as brightly citric as virtually any wine from this grape that I can recall - for an effect as if it had been blended with Riesling. Cress, grapefruit peel, crushed stone and salt enhance the invigoration and saliva-inducement of a long and refreshing, if faintly bitter, finish. This won't only be a delight to drink over the next couple of years, I suspect it will be worth following for longer than that too, and may well achieve a seductive patina.
-
2010 Domaine William Fevre, Chablis, Champs Royaux: Our price is $29.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: Winemaker Notes - Very refined bouquet, developing citrus, white-fleshed fruit and floral notes. Fresh and supple, the wine is marked by mineral notes that are typical of the appellation.
-
2010 Domaine William Fevre, Chablis, Les Clos, Grand Cru, 95+pts., Parker: Our price is $119.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: The 2010 Chablis Les Clos is all about understatement and balance. White floral notes meld into white stone fruit in this utterly gracious Chablis. Clos can at times be fleeting and elusive, and there is certainly some of that in the 2010. Still, it is impossible to miss the wine's textural finesse and sheer overall balance. I will not be surprised if the 2010 continues to get better in bottle. Anticipated maturity: 2014+
-
2010 Inglenook, Blancaneaux, Napa Valley: Our price is $49.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: This vintage of Blancaneaux offers an alluring perfume of apricots, lemon zest, honeysuckle, and violets. Juicy flavors of apricot and honey carry through in the mouth, touched by aromatic notes of flowers, citrus, and ginger spice. Rich and luscious in character, a slight racy edge of lemon, minerals, and flint is interwoven into a long creamy finish.
- 2006 Domaine Carneros, Le Reve, Blanc de Blancs, Sparkling Wine, 95 pts., Wine Enthusiast, Carneros, Napa Valley: Our price is $99.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: Crafted from 100% estate-grown fruit, it is a pure expression of our Carneros estate and has repeatedly been honored as America's Best. 2006 Le Rêve is the fifteenth vintage in this highly distinguished line of Blanc de Blancs. The 2006 vintage presented near ideal growing conditions, yielding a small crop that displayed marvelous intensity right at press. The wine is a blend of 100% Chardonnay, including five different clones. Aged in the bottle, on the lees, for five and a half years, this superb vintage needed very little dosage to come to a perfect balance.
-
2009 Lincourt Vineyards, Pinot Noir, Lindsay's, Sta. Rita Hills, 92 pts., Suckling: WInery retail is $30.00, our price is $29.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: Notes of black cherry and worn leather explode on the nose followed by a rich brown sugar spice. Blueberry cobbler, lemon zest and freshly ground cardamom round out the palate. This is an intricate yet friendly wine and will resonate with all lovers of Pinot Noir. Full, ripe and harmonious it pairs well with lamb, turkey, salmon or pork.
-
2010 Lo Nuevo, Sorbo A Sorbo, Garnacha, Calatayud, Spain, 90 pts., Tasting Panel: Our price is $19.00 and get the second bottle for $1.00: The 2010 Sorbo a Sorbo Garnacha displays intense aromas and flavors of ripe cherry, raspberry, and currant, with subtle balsamic and mineral notes that add pleasantly to the complexity. A fresh, accessible wine with lingering, bright fruit on the finish. Beautifully balanced, elegant and delicious.

Village Wine Cellar - Where we keep our entire store at a constant 64 degrees From Parker's Wine Buyers Guide No 7 by Robert M. Parker, Jr. is this quote from the introduction, How to Store Wine, page 9:
"If you can somehow get the temperature down to 65 degrees Farenheight or below, you will never have to worry about the condition of your wines."
Here at the Village Wine Cellar we proudly keep we proudly keep our ENTIRE store a constant "64 degrees temperature controlled," 365 days a year, hence Village Wine Cellar. This separates our store from all others as temperature is vital to the keeping wine from being spoiled. Proper storage is crucial to keeping the wine's integrity and quality from being compromised. As you are aware, all too often, someone has purchased a bottle of wine elsewhere only to find that their purchase is ruined due to the store temperature was too warm. This will never happen at Village Wine Cellar. |
