Winter $1.00 Sale!
Buy One For $45.00 And Get the 2nd Bottle for $1.00!
2006 Chateau Ste. Michelle, Washington, Chenin Blanc, Horse Heaven Hills Ice Wine, 375 ml. 90 pts., Wine Spectator.
"Rich and sweet, like golden pineapple syrup shaded with hints of violet and white pepper. The slightly sugary finish lingers effectively." Drink now. 725 cases made - HS
"Chateau Ste. Michelle welcomed freezing temperatures on October 31st by harvesting ice wine for only the fifth time in the winery's 40-year history. (Ironically, the winery has picked ice wine grapes on October 31st for three out of the five years). After picking the grapes for our Eroica Riesling Ice Wine, we headed to another spot in the vineyard to find Chenin Blanc grapes hanging in a low, cold spot that were frozen solid. The wine is intensely rich and exudes ultra ripe melon aromas and flavors with a clean acidity."

The "puzzle" of Conundrum lies partly in guessing the range of grape varieties we use, because we never reveal its exact composition."

The mouth-watering acidity is beautifully balanced by flavorful Washington Riesling fruit. After more than a decade we have truly found our 'Eroica style,' striving for beautiful bright fruit with crisp acidity and enhanced mineralilty." - Bob Bertheau, Winemaker
- 2006 Domaine Carneros, Le Reve, Blanc de Blancs, Carneros, Napa Valley, 95 pts., Wine Enthusiast; $95.00: "Le Rêve, French for "the dream," is Domaine Carneros's Tête de Cuvée - our finest Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine. Crafted from 100% estate-grown fruit, it is a pure expression of our Carneros estate and has repeatedly been honored as America's Best. 2006 Le Rêve is the fifteenth vintage in this highly distinguished line of Blanc de Blancs. The 2006 vintage presented near ideal growing conditions, yielding a small crop that displayed marvelous intensity right at press. The wine is a blend of 100% Chardonnay, including five different clones. Aged in the bottle, on the lees, for five and a half years, this superb vintage needed very little dosage to come to a perfect balance."

Village Wine Cellar - Where we keep our entire store at a constant 64 degrees From Parker's Wine Buyers Guide No 7 by Robert M. Parker, Jr. is this quote from the introduction, How to Store Wine, page 9:
"If you can somehow get the temperature down to 65 degrees Farenheight or below, you will never have to worry about the condition of your wines."
Here at the Village Wine Cellar we proudly keep we proudly keep our ENTIRE store a constant "64 degrees temperature controlled," 365 days a year, hence Village Wine Cellar. This separates our store from all others as temperature is vital to the keeping wine from being spoiled. Proper storage is crucial to keeping the wine's integrity and quality from being compromised. As you are aware, all too often, someone has purchased a bottle of wine elsewhere only to find that their purchase is ruined due to the store temperature was too warm. This will never happen at Village Wine Cellar. |
