Fall $1.00 Sale! Buy One And Get the 2nd Bottle for $1.00!
2011 Tablas Creek, Patelin de Tablas Blanc, Paso Robles, Good Value Connoissuer's Guide, Winery Retail; $20.00, Our Price is $20.00 and Get the 2nd Bottle for $1.00! The 2011 Patelin de Tablas Blanc shows fruity, floral aromas of honeysuckle, apricot and candied grapefruit, with a spicy mineral note emerging with air. In the mouth it's mouth-filling with peach and lemon zest flavors and a creamy texture, but kept fresh by vibrant acids. The finish is long, rich and clean, with lingering flavors of peach and mineral. Drink now and for the next 2-3 years. 2007 Hess Collection, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mount Veeder, Napa Valley, 92 pts., Wine Spectator, $49.00 and Get the 2nd Bottle for $1.00! The '07 Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon shows vanilla, cinnamon, and Asian spices in the nose, which give way to ripe fruit. Wild mountain blackberry and boysenberry are layered with fine-grained tannin to create a memorable wine of grace and complexity. The addition of Mount Veeder Malbec adds a heightened intensity to the fruit and lends texture to this wine, while softening and balancing the tannins for a long elegant finish.

This Week's Village Wine Cellar Features! 2008 Williams Selyem Pinot Noir Your Choice: $89.00 Per Bottle - Weir Vineyard, Yorkville Highlands, 92+ Tanzer: Black cherry, forest floor, earth and mineral aromas dominate the nose completely in this vintage. Concentrated flavors of cherries, raspberry, and cola, are complemented by the rich extracted grape and oak tannin in the finish. This is a fleshy wine with much more complexity than past vintages, and one that should age quite well.
- Vista Verde Vineyard, San Benito County, 93 pts., Tanzer: Another tremendous vintage from our vineyards in the Central Coast. The ripe aromas of wild raspberry, green tea, mocha and spice direct the nose. This wine shows richer and broader tannins than the 2007 edition, with a better overall concentration and depth of fruit. A long sweet finish of boysenberry, wild flowers, minerality and silky-smooth oak help to complete this wine. Blended from the more mature blocks on this ranch, this wine seems to be finally coming into its own.
- Precious Mountain Vineyard, Sonoma Coast, 92+ pts., Tanzer: Usually this vineyard produces a more feminine wine, but the 2008 version is a bit bigger. Multifaceted aromas of wild blackberries and raspberries, sweet roses, citrus blossom, Asian spice, green tea and toffee. In the mouth, rich dark red fruits burst out with a nice balance of acidity, black truffle, dried spices and mineral. The ripe, somewhat masculine tasting tannins are balanced by the concentration of fruit and a long juicy finish. A bigger than usual wine with immense ageing potential.
- Eastside Road Neighbors, Russian River Valley, 94 pts., Wine Spectator: The perfumed nose of optimally ripened black cherries, dried morels, earth and violets begins the experience of our newest blend from vineyards across the Russian River from us. Low yields in 2008 led to a more concentrated, brooding tannin profile that is enlivened by its juicy acidity. This may require a bit more patience to resolve with ageing. Rich dark berry fruits, game and minerality coat your palate with hints of caramel and dark chocolate. Blended from relatively younger vineyard sites that show the most potential of greatness since planting our Estate on Westside Road.
- Rochioli Riverblock, Russian River Valley, 94 pts., Tanzer: The aromas of ripe boysenberries, blueberry jam, forest floor, mineral and cola come through in the nose. Sweet and concentrated flavors of ripe blackberries, plums, earth, spice and cola highlight the mature thriving tannins on your palate. The concentration and expansiveness of the tannins from this vineyard still make it one of my all time favorite sites in the Russian River Valley.

For Your Appreciation: Thank You!
Pay one penny for one bottle of Clos LaChance Sauvignon Blanc upon spending over $100.00 on any wine purchase. Normal retail price is $15.00 per bottle. Limit one purchase per family per day.

A blend of 82 percent sauvignon blanc, 15 percent semillon and 3 percent muscat blanc, the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks except for 16 percent that goes into neutral French oak barrels. This is a stupendously lively and refreshing sauvignon blanc that bursts with a flurry of grapefruit and lime peel, dried thyme and fennel and hints of grass and hay. Flavors lean toward juicy pear infused with tangerine and hay and a touch of leafy fig, all ensconced in an attractive texture that neatly balances crisp acidity with moderate lushness. A trace of grapefruit bitterness makes for a bracing finish. Here's a clean, bright, tasty sauvignon blanc that will make pleasant quaffing this Spring and Summer, either as aperitif or with such dishes as grilled shrimp or ceviche.
Normal retail price is $15.00 per bottle, but you only pay one penny upon spending $100.00 on any wine purchase.
Limit one wine purchase per family per day.
Thank you for your business!

Village Wine Cellar - Where we keep our entire store at a constant 64 degrees From Parker's Wine Buyers Guide No 7 by Robert M. Parker, Jr. is this quote from the introduction, How to Store Wine, page 9:
"If you can somehow get the temperature down to 65 degrees Farenheight or below, you will never have to worry about the condition of your wines."
Here at the Village Wine Cellar we proudly keep we proudly keep our ENTIRE store a constant "64 degrees temperature controlled," 365 days a year, hence Village Wine Cellar. This separates our store from all others as temperature is vital to the keeping wine from being spoiled. Proper storage is crucial to keeping the wine's integrity and quality from being compromised. As you are aware, all too often, someone has purchased a bottle of wine elsewhere only to find that their purchase is ruined due to the store temperature was too warm. This will never happen at Village Wine Cellar. |
