Un Maestro Especial
Teachers are some of the most primary and influential people in our children's lives. They are the backbone of our society's future and the most inspirational, dedicated and talented should be recognized for their hard work. With this in mind, Univision 23 proudly announces their 14th annual
Un Maestro Especial campaign, which highlights and rewards teachers who are making a distinct and positive impact in the lives of their students.
Un Maestro Especial will provide an opportunity for parents, students, and professional colleagues of our community to nominate whom they consider to have exemplified exceptional qualities as teachers.
Papa John's Pizza will be awarding each of the ten winners with a cash prize. In addition, the winner's profile will be featured on Univision 23 through an on-air campaign.

Please click on the link below to find the nomination forms which detail all of the campaign information along with the selection criteria. Teachers may be nominated by students, parents or colleagues. The deadline for receiving applications is January 15, 2016.

Safety
Please help us monitor our students' safety while they are in the park. Although the school is only responsible for our students 15 minutes before and after the start of the school day, we are concerned with their safety overall.

Children should be supervised by an adult at all times.

Rough play is prohibited. The park is a public area. Please be mindful that other community members frequent the park as well. Children should not leave the park unattended.

Adhere to all rules as outlined by the City of Fort Lauderdale.
Traffic and Parking Updates:
Our students' safety is our top priority at Bayview Elementary! There are a few simple, specific tasks that will keep our students safe and timely! Thank you in advance for your adherence to the following rules!
  • Only park in designated spaces for visitors, or at the park.
  • Please do not park in spaces marked "STAFF".
  • Avoid parking on the neighbors' swales.
  • Have your children, their belongings, and your goodbyes ready when you enter the loop so the children can exit quickly.
  • Move your car as far forward as possible to allow others to enter the loop as well.
  • Do not drive around the vehicles in front of you, as the traffic should continue to flow.
  • Stay in your car at all times.
