From Administration:
Dear Bayview Elementary Families,

It was another beautiful week at Bayview Elementary full of fun, excitement and learning! We absolutely enjoyed seeing your little ones participate in all of the great Red Ribbon Week activities, and of course, getting duct taped to a wall was an experience we will both never forget!

We wanted to remind you of some very important safety protocols that are in place at Bayview Elementary. During school hours, our school has one single point of entry. As a result, anyone coming into the school must enter through the front office door only. After the 8:00 a.m. bell rings, all exterior doors and gates are locked. Parents with official school business, such as scheduled volunteer time or a conference, must check in, with picture identification, at the front office, in order to be granted admission. We really appreciate your cooperation with this very important topic!

Also, during arrival, please have your child exit the car at our designated drop off area only. Please do not drop children in the street in front of the school.

We wish you a wonderful and safe night!

Traffic and Parking Updates:
Our students' safety is our top priority at Bayview Elementary! There are a few simple, specific tasks that will keep our students safe and timely! Thank you in advance for your adherence to the following rules!
  • Only park in designated spaces for visitors, or at the park.
  • Please do not park in spaces marked "STAFF".
  • Avoid parking on the neighbors' swales.
  • Have your children, their belongings, and your goodbyes ready when you enter the loop so the children can exit quickly.
  • Move your car as far forward as possible to allow others to enter the loop as well.
  • Do not drive around the vehicles in front of you, as the traffic should continue to flow.
  • Stay in your car at all times.
Harvest Drive:
Bayview Elementary is participating with Broward County Schools in the Harvest Drive, helping to feed needy local families. Please be sure to look for the flyer sent home with your child. We are collecting the following items:
  • Peanut Butter
  • Jelly (no glass jars please)
  • Pancake syrup
  • Cans of vegetables
  • Laundry detergent
Thank you Bayview Elementary Families!
Veterans Day 2015
Bayview will celebrate Veterans Day one day early, Tuesday, November 10. The ceremony will take place in George English Park near the flagpole.

Our friends from American Legion Post 222 will be sending their color guard again this year to perform the flag raising. The flag raising will be a part of a brief ceremony that will begin at 8:30AM.

This year we are inviting Veterans from the community to join us to be quietly honored. If you have a relative, friend, or neighbor that you could invite, please do!

In case of rain the ceremony will be moved to the cafeteria. More details to follow but please put the word out about our invitation to Veterans.

Thank you!
Kindergarten
Kindergarten has many uses for the plastic Crystal Light containers. Please recycle and send them to Ms. Michaels.

Thanks so much!
