STEM Executive Committee Expands, Executes

Schools look to update their current STEM classrooms.
Founded in 1980, Strategic America represents more than 40 diverse national, regional and local clients, focusing on insurance/financial services, business-to-business and dealer and consumer marketing.
A conference attendee explains how she felt treated based on the label placed on her head. This was to illustrate how constricting labels can be in the classroom by both students and their teachers. The attendee's label read "invisible." 

Top Six STEM School Finalists Announced

 

The Iowa Governor's STEM Advisory Council is proud to announce the top six (6) finalists in its request for proposals to fund three STEM classrooms around the State of Iowa per Council priority. A committee of individuals from the STEM community convened to review the 23 total proposals and narrowed them down to the following final candidates: Boone High School, Davenport Community School District... (continued...)

  



Strategic America Supports STEM  

 

Our state-wide STEM efforts are about to get a facelift and infusion of energy now that Strategic America (SA) is leading our public awareness campaign. Selected this summer through an RFP process, SA has been working tirelessly over the past six weeks to finalize the brand, core messages, a new logo, several executions of the brand (public service announcement, billboards, etc.), and a public relations plan.

STEM Teacher Educators' Conference Enlightening

  

Friday, September 20, 235 STEM education professionals convened at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines for the 2013 STEM Teacher Educators' Conference.  Lieutenant Governor and STEM Council Co-Chair Kim Reynolds welcomed the attendees and handed it off to Executive Director Jeff Weld to introduce keynote speaker Dr. Diandra Leslie-Pelecky who spoke on ways to inspire new teachers...
