City hosts Skype event with Italian sister city Crespano del Grappa
Learn more about the City of Folsom's Italian Sister City at a community event from noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31 in Council Chambers at City Hall, 50 Natoma St.

 

Participants will talk directly with citizens of Crespano del Grappa via Skype, and learn more about the city and its culture through presentations and slideshows. The City of Folsom and Crespano del Grappa will also virtually exchange keys to the city as an international symbolic gesture of appreciation and welcome.

Art Achievement Awards winners
Winners of the 2014 Arts Achievement Recognition Award are Bonita Chimes for her work as a teacher and professional photographer, and The Nicholson Music Company for its substantial contributions to music performance and education in the community. The City's Arts and Cultural Commission developed the Arts Achievement Recognition Program to recognize outstanding arts organizations and individuals.
City Council appoints new commission & committee members
Congratulations to the newest members of the City's six commissions and two committees.  Following their appointment by the City Council at a recent Council meeting, they now serve alongside other residents who volunteer their time on these important groups.

Missing dog found thanks to community
Alex, a blind and deaf 15-year-old Husky, has been returned to his home, thanks to a team of volunteers in the Folsom community.
