Police promotion; new Fire staff 
Recently promoted Police Commander Dirk Regan assumed his new duties this week.  He is working alongside Commanders Perry Albers and Rick Hillman, reporting to Chief Cynthia Renaud.

Late last week, the Fire Department held a pinning ceremony for three probationary firefighters and two fire prevention officers.

Get in the holiday spirit at the Palladio or Historic District Tree Lighting events; Wild Nights & Holiday Lights at the Zoo Sanctuary; 47th Annual Christmas Arts & Crafts Fair on Sutter Street; Holiday Revels at Folsom Public Library; and the Historic District Ice Skating Rink.
Get involved! Apply for City Commissions & Committees
Residents interested in serving on a City Commission or Committee must submit applications by 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5.  The City Council will soon review applications and fill vacancies on six commissions and two committees.  Applicants must be registered to vote in Folsom.

Thanksgiving closures 
City Hall, Folsom Public Library, Senior & Arts Center and Sports Complex will be closed on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 27 and 28 for the Thanksgiving holiday.  Police, fire, trash and recycling services will not be impacted by the holiday closures.
