What's status of local water supply?
The good news is that inflow into Folsom Reservoir is now exceeding outflow. However, even with February rains, the reservoir is still significantly below capacity, and Sierra snowpack is far below normal as the statewide drought continues. Marcus Yasutake, Folsom's Environmental and Water Resources Director, provided a water supply update at the March 11th City Council meeting.
What did he say?
Folsom thanks customers for conserving as drought continues
During the month of February, overall water use in Folsom declined 24 percent, exceeding the City's goal of 20 percent.  "Customers have done an outstanding job of conserving, but the need continues," said Marcus Yasutake, Folsom's Director of Environmental and Water Resources. "Please keep your sprinklers off as much as possible and continue to use water wisely."
Here's a new tool to save money while conserving energy & water
Through mPOWER Folsom, local property owners can finance energy and water efficiency upgrades on homes and businesses with no money down, and repay the cost over time on property bills.  HVAC upgrades, drip irrigation systems & much more . . .
Calling all volunteers!
