Zoo ablaze with holiday lights
Many local families have discovered that Folsom's Wild Nights & Holiday Lights is a low-cost, family friendly way to celebrate the season while supporting Folsom's unique Zoo Sanctuary. Weather permitting, Wild Nights & Holiday Lights runs from 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 7-8 and 13-23.

Why waste $$$ and water?
Turn off sprinklers during winter
It's not unusual to see sprinklers running on rainy days, according to Don Smith, Folsom's Water Management Coordinator. "Now that we're all on water meters, why would anyone want to pay to water when Mother Nature is providing all the water our landscapes need?"
Help Police brighten holidays for local families in need
Folsom Police will accept donations for the Annual Christmas Basket Toy/Food Basket program through Friday, Dec. 13.  Receive a free photo with Santa when you bring a donation to the Folsom Police Toy Drive in the Walmart parking lot on Dec. 7 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
How to help
Take note of many seasonal events
Sutter Street Tree Lighting and Arts & Craft Fair, Holiday Home Tours, Zoo Party for Animals and more local events offer delightful opportunities to celebrate the season with friends, family and neighbors.
