Dr. Alfredo Quiñones-Hinojosa received a medical degree from Harvard University, where he graduated cum laude. He went on to complete his residency in neurosurgery at the University of California, San Francisco, where he also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in developmental and stem cell biology. At Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Quiñones is an Associate Professor of Neurosurgery and Oncology, Neuroscience and Cellular and Molecular Medicine.
Dr. Q. provided a motivating insight into perseverance, passion for working toward a goal and ability to overcome obstacles--including verbal attacks.
He also discussed the importance of STEM and the exciting progress in Stem Cell Research.
