Thank You to the Families and Students Who Participated in our 76ers Read for Ronald Service Project!

We have been able to help many other children and their families who stay at the Ronald McDonald House. We hope you enjoyed extra time for reading in February and will continue in the coming months! Thank you for participating and for your generosity in helping raise just over $2,400 for the Ronald McDonald House.

Staying Well

As an ongoing effort to promote wellness, the preventative steps below have been reviewed with students.
  • Coughing or sneezing into the bend of your elbow or a tissue;
  • Proper disposal of used tissues;
  • Washing your hands frequently and thoroughly with soap and warm water;
  • Using an alcohol-based (at least 60 %) hand sanitizer;
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
Students are encouraged to follow these procedures. Hand sanitizer dispensers are available in all classrooms and common spaces of the building. Click here for additional information that was developed by the TESD Certified School Nurses.

T&E Care Is Looking For Kids Clothes

T&E Care is looking for donations of new or gently used clothing for infants through teens (16 years) for its upcoming Kids Clothing Grab Bag.  Items can be dropped off during the week of April 1 at any of the local schools (including ours), Play It Again Sports (Berwyn) or Doctor's Best (Berwyn).   Please only drop items off when the schools/businesses are open. Clothing for all seasons, plus good quality shoes, boots, coats, belts or other accessories will be accepted.   For a list of items we are not able to accept, and for other information, please go to www.tecare.org.   Be sure to also mark your calendars for the Grab Bag itself, April 12 (3-7) or April 13 (9-1) at St. Matthew's United Methodist Church on Walker Rd.  This fundraiser for T&E Care is a great chance for everyone to restock your kids' closets with great quality clothes.  A suggested donation of $5/bag is appreciated. Questions, please contact us at  [email protected].

Gratitude Corner

The Bowling Party was a big hit at Devon Lanes last week! Once again, chairs Crystal Wichard and Kelly Bunting took care of everything and it was a great time. We are also grateful to the parent volunteers who worked the event: Megan McNeill, Emma Sun, Julie Koblish, Colleen Gilmartin, Jessie Lou, Ren Xie, Jake Bunting and Michelle Wang.

Our bake sale parent coordinators last week were Sally Selim, Katie Cannizzaro and Barri Alexander. Thank you all for organizing the sales, and thank you to all of the parents who supplied the great treats.

We are finishing up the winter clubs and would like to thank the following club coordinators for their time and efforts: Laura Wurzer, Angelica Riley, Jacqueline Reinhart, Michelle Wang, Nancy Marvel, Stacey Mignone and Janet Plastino.
