Proposed Changes to Chapter 4 Regulations - Impact on Graduation Requirements
The State Board of Education has proposed changes to the Chapter 4 regulations regarding high school graduation and the implementation of the Keystone Exams for Pennsylvania students. Before any regulatory changes take effect, a mandatory review process is conducted. The first step in the review process is a 30 day public comment period, which opened on October 6, 2012. The Independent Regulatory Review Commission (IRRC) receives public comment and makes recommendations for revision. After the IRRC review, State legislators have an opportunity to provide input. Letters and comments to the IRRC must be received by November 5, 2012. |
